Determination of the patch cords lengths distribution physical layer of the modern automation systems of smart city and smart home by the Monte Carlo method

A method for determining the distribution of patch cord lengths formation physical layer modern IP-control systems is proposed. Assuming switching field on a regular basis and equiprobable connection individual ports, procedure was developed probability density function lengths, taking into account necessary margin in case unevenness laying. The calculation has been performed it shown that advisable to use cords with length 1–2 m control systems.
